STANDISH, Maine – The 2022 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® women's volleyball teams have been released and a pair of Saint Joseph's College players have been honored.

Seniors Hanna Holden (Stoughton, Mass.) and Amanda Darby (Shrewsbury, Mass.) have been recognized for achieving academic excellence. To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore status, be a starter or major contributor, and have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA.

Institutions are allowed to nominate a maximum of six student-athletes per team.

Holden, a Biochemistry major, started all 31 matches as a senior setter and produced 70 kills, 52 service aces, 262 digs, and 502 assists this fall. The two-year team captain capped her career with 178 kills, 117 aces, 696 digs, and 1,648 assists in 92 matches.

The 2022 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly known as the College Sports Information Directors of America, or CoSIDA), recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in December. The CSC Academic All-District® teams can be found using the link below.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
