Eaton Earns GNAC Runner of the Week Award

STANDISH, Maine – The GNAC weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph's College graduate student Heather Eaton (Lincolnville, Maine) has claimed GNAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week accolades.

Eaton placed third out of 151 participants with a 19:57 performance in the 5K University of New England Invitational on Saturday. The sub-20 time was the third of her career and also ranks as her third-fastest effort in a 5K event.  She placed 10th with a 20:08 performance in the UNE Invitational a year ago.

For Eaton, a three-time All-GNAC honoree and two-time Rookie of the Week award recipient, the Runner of the Week honor is just the second of her esteemed career.

Saint Joseph's will compete in the UMass.-Dartmouth Invitational this Saturday.
