Women place third at Runnin' Monks

STANDISH, MAINE. – The Saint Joseph's College Women's Cross Country teams competed at home today in the annual Runnin' Monks Invitational. The women conquered the 6k course finishing third overall with 58 points averaging a time of 34:35. 

Ahead of the Monks was Lasell with 45 points and team champions Emerson College who scored a total of 21 points with the help from their very own Yasmin Defne Dadikhi who placed first (25:54) and runner-up Samantha Zannotti (26:27). Kiara Cerruti from Lasell snagged her spot on the podium coming in third with a mark of 27:00.

Freshman Ava Moffett (Livermore Falls, Maine) crushed the challenging 6k course to lead the Monks, finishing with an overall time of 31:32.

 

 FOR THE MONKS:

  • Freshman Ava Moffett (Livermore Falls, Maine) was tenth (31:32)
  • Sophomore Alexia Young (Rochester, N.H.) placed 13th  (32:53)
  • Junior Terry Cassetta (Sandy Hook, Conn.) finished 16th  (33:52)
  • Freshman Breya Whitman (Auburn, Maine) was 21st  (36:01)
  • Freshman Haley Lang (New Gloucester, Maine) placed 25th (38:39)
  • Junior Lindy Hyndman (Auburn, Maine) finished 26th (39:34)
  • Junior Alexia Smith (Scarborough, Maine) was 28th (42:41)
