Curtin Named GNAC Runner of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph's College sophomore Sarah Curtin (Strafford, N.H.) has been selected as the GNAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

Curtin helped Saint Joseph's claim the Husson Invitational Championship with a second-place runner-up finish, and 19:47 time, in the 2.9-mile (4.67K) race on Saturday.

Curtin's effort helped the Monks earn their first team victory since October 6th, 2012 when Saint Joseph's claimed the Runnin' Monks Invitational with 62 points.

For Curtin, who paced the Monks in one event and was the team's #2 runner in seven races last fall, the weekly conference honor is a career first.

Saint Joseph's returns to action on Saturday, September 24th when both teams compete in the Cod Fish Bowl at historic Franklin Park in Boston.
