    BREWSTER, MA - Saint Joseph’s College finished in a tie for 30th with a 667 team score in the 77th Annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship, which took place at The Captains Course on Monday and Tuesday.

    GORHAM, ME – Rhode Island College turned in a 306 card on Sunday and posted a collective two-day 606 score to claim the 2011 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Golf Championship, which was hosted by Saint Joseph’s College and held at the Gorham Country Club over the weekend.

    GORHAM, ME – Rhode Island College freshman Ryan Butler (Windham, N.H.) closed out the first 36 holes of the 2011 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Golf Championship as the individual leader with a three-under-par 68 score at the Gorham Country Club on Saturday.

    KENNEBUNKPORT, ME - The Saint Joseph’s College golf team placed fifth with a 337 score in the University of New England Invitational at Cape Arundel Golf Club on Monday. Kevin Richardson ’14 (Coventry, Conn.) paced the Monks with a 72 (38-34) and finished tied for third overall.

    GORHAM, ME – Saint Joseph’s placed sixth with a 633 team card in the two-day USM Fall Classic held at the Gorham Country Club. Jake Brown ’13 (Lewiston, Maine) shot a 156 (78-78) and finished in a three-way tie for third place in the annual tournament.

    GORHAM, ME – The SJC golf team is in fourth place with a 313 team card after the first 18 holes of the 2011 USM Fall Classic. With a 77 card, sophomore Kevin Richardson (Coventry, Conn.) leads a group of four Monks with sub-80 scores and sits in a tie for 10th place overall.

    CUMBERLAND, ME – Saint Joseph’s College finished in a tie for sixth with 657 team strokes in the 2011 State of Maine Championship Golf Tournament at Val Halla Golf Course over the weekend. First-year golfer Steve Simonds (Steep Falls, Maine) paced the Monks with a 160 (79-81) card and finished in a tie for 15th out of 55 participants in the two-day event.

    STANDISH, ME - The Saint Joseph’s College golf team placed third with 321 strokes in the UMF Invitational at Sunday River Golf Club on Thursday. Jake Brown ’13 (Lewiston, Maine) paced the Royal Blue with a career-low 79 card (40-39) in the 18-hole event.

    GORHAM, ME – Saint Joseph’s defeated University of Southern Maine 322-324 in the SJC-USM Golf Kick-Off Classic at the Gorham Country Club on Thursday afternoon. Sophomore Kevin Richardson (Coventry, Conn.) garnered medalist honors with a 76 card in the event, which was the 2011 season-opener for both teams.
