Saint Joseph's Races in Keene State Invitational

KEENE, NH – The Saint Joseph's College men's cross country team participated in the Keene State College Invitational on Saturday. With four participants, the Monks did not score in the event.

Sophomore Andrew Caron (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) led the Royal Blue with a 31:39 effort and placed 78th out of 113 runners while sophomore Connor Dufour (Augusta, Maine) placed 83rd (32:13), junior Jeff Merrill (Fitchburg, Mass.) was 94th (34:47) and junior Matt Boucher (Augusta, Maine) raced to a 95th-place finish (35:46).

With all five scorers finishing in the top 10 overall, including individual champion Ryan Widzgowski (26:36), Keene State cruised to the title with 24 points. Brandeis finished as the runner-up with 58 points.

Saint Joseph's College takes to the trails again next Saturday when the team hosts the Runnin' Monks Invitational. The men's race starts at 12:00 PM.
