2012: Competed in seven meets as a freshman…kicked off his NCAA career with a 26:35 effort in the team’s head to head 6K race versus University of New England in Standish on September 1st…placed 22nd overall and was the Monks’ sixth finisher that day…recorded a personal-best 8K time (32:36) in the Rivier University Invitational on September 21st…also ran in the GNAC Championship and Maine State Championship events as a freshman.

High School: Participated in cross country, indoor/outdoor track & field and baseball at Fitch Senior High School...earned the Coaches' Award while running outdoor track. 

Personal: Sam Dunay, born in Chengdu China...moved to the United States at age five...majoring in Exercise Science.
