GNAC Honors Murphy as Rookie of the Week

STANDISH, ME – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has released its weekly honors and Saint Joseph's freshman Mickeyla Murphy (Scarborough, Maine) has been selected as the Women's Swimming Rookie of the Week for the second-consecutive reporting period.

Murphy posted wins in the 50-Breast and 100-Breast and took part in the Monks' winning 200-Medley and 200-Free relay races in a 110-101 victory over Elms College at the Harold Alfond Center on Saturday afternoon.

Through two meets, the first-year phenom has registered three individual victories with a runner-up effort and has swum legs in all four of her team's victorious relay races.

Saint Joseph's will host Regis College this Saturday at 1:00 PM.
