Rabideau Honored for Second-Consecutive Week

STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's freshman swimmer Lauren Rabideau (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) has been selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week for the second-consecutive reporting period and third time overall.

Rabideau scored a team-high 22 points with individual wins in the 200-Breast (2:38.26) and 100-IM (1:07.38) and a runner-up finish in the 50-Breast (28.60) at Simmons College on Saturday afternoon.

Through four head-to-head meets, Rabideau has competed in 12 individual events with nine victories and three runner-up finishes and has broken the program records for the 200-Breast (2:38.26), 100-Breast (1:13.35) and 50-Breast (33.96) events. A standout two-sport athlete and 2012 GNAC Women's Cross Country Rookie of the Year, she also notched four top-five finishes in the GNAC Championship meet in early-December.

The Monks return to action on February 2nd when the teams host Gordon College in a 1:00 PM start.
