Rabideau Top GNAC Rookie Yet Again

STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's freshman swimmer Lauren Rabideau (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) has been selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Swimming Rookie of the Week for the fifth time after posting an excellent effort in the 2013 New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) Championship over the weekend.

Rabideau capped her rookie season with an outstanding performance in the 2013 NEISDA's, as the freshman standout advanced to the finals in all three breaststroke events and proceeded to shatter the program records with new top times in the 50-Breast (31.97), 100-Breast (1:10.91) and 200-Breast (2:36.05) races.

She earned a team-high 61 individual points and helped account for 141 of the Monks' 163 team points overall after swimming legs in the 200-Free, 400-Free, 200-Medley and 400-Medley relay races during the three-day event.
