Halvorsen Claims Third GNAC Honor Roll Award

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's women's swimming freshman Lauren Halvorsen (South Portland, Maine) has been listed on the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll for the third time this season.

Halvorsen registered a team-high 13 points in the GNAC Championship last weekend. The freshman placed fourth in the 500-Free (5:49.76) and 1000-Free (12:09.17) events and notched a fifth-place effort in the 200-Free (2:13.94) in her first appearance in the conference championship event.

For Halvorsen, the weekly conference honor is the fourth of her young career. She was named as the GNAC Rookie of the Week on November 25th and claimed GNAC Honor Roll mention on November 4th and November 18th.

The women return to the pool on Sunday, January 12th when the team hosts Simmons College in a 1:00 PM start.
