Women Fall at Husson, 132-117

BANGOR, ME – Saint Joseph's College suffered a 132-117 setback at the hands of Husson University in women's swimming action on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Anne Fougere (Warner, N.H.), who earned a top finish in the 50-Breast (37.00) and 200-Breast (2:57.08) competitions, and freshman Danielle Charette (Westfield, Mass.), who posted a top time in the 500-Free (6:05.87) and 50-Fly (31.63) races, highlighted the event for Saint Joseph's.

Others posting top performances included freshman Lauren Halvorsen (South Portland, Maine), who won the 1000-Free (12:37.42), and sophomore Brooke Huberdeau (North Andover, Mass.), who placed first in the 200-Free (2:15.12) and was the runner-up in the 100-Free (1:02.33).

A pair of freshmen, Erin Weir (North Andover, Mass.) and Lauren Prue (Glenburn, Maine), also showed well against the Eagles. Weir posted a runner-up time in the 50-Free (29.19) while Prue was second in the 200-Breast (3:00.55) and 100-IM (1:15.21) races.

Saint Joseph's will compete against Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts on Saturday at 1:00 PM.
