Monks Compete in Husson University Relay Carnival

BANGOR, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College men's and women's swimming teams competed in the Husson University Relay Carnival on Saturday. The event, which featured athletes from St. Joe's, Husson, Maine Maritime Academy, and the University of Maine swim club, was of the non-scoring variety.

WOMEN'S RESULTS:

Elise Soucy (Saco, Maine), Tiffany Twombly (Sanford, Maine), Brooke Podsiadlo (Granby, Mass.) and Kiley Matthews (South Portland, Maine) won the 200-Medley relay with a 2:04.49 time
Emma Westgate (Sanford, Maine), Ashley Thompson (Granby, Conn.), Matthews and Soucy raced to a third-place finish in the 200-Fly relay (2:26.74)
Thompson, Twombly, Matthews and Podsiadlo placed second in the 200-Breast relay (2:30.63)

MIXED RESULTS:

Shawn Perry (Plaistow, N.H.), Twombly, Lucas Fendl (Ellsworth, Maine) and Podsiadlo finished fourth in the 400-Medley relay (4:26.47)
Perry, Fendl, Matthews and Podsiadlo raced to a third-place finish in the 400-Free relay (3:53.21)
