GORHAM, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College indoor track & field teams posted another promising effort in the second event of the season, which took place in the Costello Sports Complex at the University of Southern Maine on Saturday.
After breaking or matching four team records in the first event of the year at the Reggie Lewis Center last weekend, the Monks continued their assault on the record book by setting three new marks on Saturday. Freshman Simon Vinci (Peabody, Mass.) toppled his Shot Put team record – set last weekend with a 13.89m effort – with a 14.50m toss while junior Cassidy Lee (Sullivan, Maine) bested the SJC Triple Jump mark with a 9.38m distance and sophomore Kaylee Todisco (Wilmington, Mass.) edged her team record (7.76) with a 7.75 time in the 55-Meter dash.
THE RUNDOWN – MEN*:
- Freshman Simon Vinci (Peabody, Mass.) bested his own team record in the Shot Put with a 14.50m heave and won the event by nearly two meters
- Senior David Tuttle (Brunswick, Maine) placed fourth in the Weight Throw (10.68)
- Senior Alex Fitzgerald (Lebanon, Maine) placed fourth in the Triple Jump (12.11m) and ninth in the Long Jump (5.93m)
- Freshman Ricky Reyes (Worcester, Mass.) placed fourth in the 800-Meter run (2:09.36) and 10th in the 1-Mile run (4:54.28)
- Sophomore Troy Hendricks (Hiram, Maine) was fifth in the 1-Mile run (4:41.44)
- Junior Kristopher Mason (Hiram, Maine) finished seventh in the Weight Throw (9.18m)
- Junior Lance Santeusanio III (North Berwick, Maine) was seventh in the 600-Meter run (1:32.79)
- Senior Jacob Boissonnault (Biddeford, Maine) placed eighth in the 800-Meter run (2:26.97)
- Junior Brandon Whitlock (Westbrook, Maine) finished eighth in the 600-Meter run (1:34.44)
- Junior Connor Rice (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) was ninth in the 600-Meter run (1:36.13)
- Reyes, Santeusanio, Michael Mason (East Bridgewater, Mass.), and Hendricks finished second in the Distance Medley (11:26.74)
THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN*:
- Junior Cassidy Lee (Sullivan, Maine) broke the Monks' Triple Jump record with a 9.38m effort and finished fifth in the event
- Sophomore Kaylee Todisco (Wilmington, Mass.) broke her team record with a 7.75 time in the 55-Meter Dash, good for fourth overall, and finished sixth in the Pole Vault (2.05m)
- Sophomore Samantha VanDeMoere (Thornton, N.H.) was fourth in the 600-Meter run (1:50.09)
- Senior Lillian Bisset (Jefferson, Maine) finished seventh in the 55-Meter Hurdles (9.78) and ninth in the Long Jump (4.23m)
- Freshman Emily Colson (Casco, Maine) placed eighth in the Triple Jump (8.89m)
- Junior Meghan Glisson (Merrimack, N.H.) finished ninth in the 600-Meter run (2:07.12)
- Sophomore Dori LeMoine (Swan's Island, Maine) was 10th in the Shot Put (9.59m)
- Junior Marissa Hoffman (Waterbury, Vt.) placed eighth in the 200-Meter dash (30.06) and 10th in the Long Jump (4.19m)

The Monks are off until January 10th when the teams compete in the Dartmouth Relays in Hanover, N.H.
