WATERVILLE, ME – Saint Joseph's College placed second with 61 team points in the 8K Colby College Invitational on Saturday. Freshman Joe DiSalvo (Derry, N.H.) paced the Monks with a 30:23 effort and placed third overall.
Colby collected team honors with 26 points as six Mules runners placed in the top 10 including the top two finishers, Tom Letourneau (29:28) and David White (30:15). Unity College (66) placed third and Thomas College (79) finished fourth.
Faisal Abdillahi '14 (Lewiston, Maine) ran to a fifth-place finish with a 30:40 performance while Jeff Letellier '12 (Biddeford, Maine) (21st, 34:55), Andrew Mockler '12 (Saco, Maine) (23rd, 35:30), Jeff Merrill '15 (Fitchburg, Mass.) (24th, 36:26) and Robert Travers '15 (Lebanon, Maine) (31st, 55:55) also competed in the event.
Saint Joseph's will host the Runnin' Monks Invitational next Saturday at 12:00 PM.
