PRESQUE ISLE, ME - The women's team won the quad meet at
University of Maine Presque Isle and was paced by sophomore Sarah
Willis (Buckland, MA) who won by over a minute on a tough course.
Host UMPI, Maine Machias and Unity competed with UMPI runner
Michelle Philips finishing in second place.
Following Willis for the Monks was a pack of SJC runners that made
for an easy 25-point team win. Sophomore Jasmine Smith (Standish,
ME) finished in 5th, sophomore Aubrey Gray (Winthrop, MA) was in
6th, freshman Sara Forrest (Westport Island, ME) in 7th, sophomore
Suzanne Connelly (Hingham, MA) in 8th, junior Michelle Sanborn
(Standish, ME) in 9th and first-year Jess Desrosiers (Mechanic
Falls, ME) in 10th.
Rounding out the solid effort was senior Robin Caron (Portage Lake,
ME) who finished in fifteenth place.
