WENHAM, MA - The Saint Joseph's Women's Cross Country team earned 468 points to place 17th in the Pop Crowell Invitational on Saturday morning. Katie Murphy '11 (Baileyville, ME) toured the course in 21:02 to pace the Monks and place 45th overall. Wellesley, with four runners in the top ten, won the event with 38 team points.

Randelle Boots, a freshman from Wellesley, took home individual honors with an 18:55 effort.

Other notable SJC runners include Shannon Marden '10 (Dover-Foxcroft, ME) (22:22, 106 th ), Mary Casinghino '10 (Manchester, NH) (22:44, 125 th ), Allison Pearsall '12 (West Newbury, MA) (23:36, 150 th ), Christina Meehan '11 (Nashua, NH) (23:46, 153 rd ) and Claire Cook '10 (Sangerville, ME) (23:53, 162 nd ).

Saint Joseph's will host the Runnin' Monks Invitational this Saturday, with women's race starting at 11:00 AM and the men to follow at 11:45 AM. Maine-Presque Isle, Maine Maritime, Thomas, UMF, Daniel Webster, Johnson & Wales, Lyndon State, Pine Manor, Lasell, Emerson and Rivier will all be attending the event.
