2012: Participated in eight races as a freshman…kicked off her collegiate career by placing 19th with a 25:06 effort in the Monks’ head-to-head meet versus University of New England at home on September 1st…finished as the Monks’ #5 runner after posting a 25:20 time in the UNE Invitational a week later…continued to show improvement by placing 56th of 101 runners with a 22:27 time in the Rivier University Invitational on September 21st…finished 35th of 85 participants with a 23:24 time at the Keene State College Invitational on September 29th…placed 32nd overall with a 25:19 time in the Runnin’ Monks Invitational on October 6th and posted a personal-best 22:09 effort, placing 106th of 154 runners, in the 2012 Maine State Championship a week later…was 41st with a 23:03 performance in the GNAC Championship on October 27th…capped her rookie season with an appearance in the ECAC Championship on November 3rd…toured the 6K course in 28:21 and finished 190th out of 284 runners that day.

High School: Ran four years of varsity cross country along with six seasons of varsity track and two years of varsity swimming at Winslow High School…qualified for nationals in track every year since her freshmen campaign…claimed KVAC All-Conference accolades all four years…ran for the Lakers cross country team during the summer.

Personal: Riley Noella Jones, born on February 7, 1994 in Winslow, Maine...daughter of Stephen and Marcia Jones...majoring in Exercise Science.
