Three Women’s Harriers Collect Conference Accolades

STANDISH, ME – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been released and a trio of Saint Joseph's College women's cross country runners have earned accolades.

Junior Amber Dostie (Standish, Maine) has earned GNAC Runner of the Week honors for the fourth time this season and 11th time in her career overall while sophomore Lauren Rabideau (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) and junior Heather Eaton (Lincolnville, Maine) have both claimed GNAC Weekly Honor Roll mention.

Dostie won the Great Northeast Athletic Conference 5K Women's Cross Country Championship with a 20:32 time at Saint Joseph's College on Saturday afternoon. With the individual victory, Dostie claimed GNAC Runner of the Year honors for the third-consecutive season and became the first women's runner in GNAC history to win the event on three occasions.

Rabideau finished as the runner-up in the GNAC Championship with a 20:38 effort on Saturday and Eaton was third with a 20:53 performance. All three runners earned All-Conference honors as top-10 finishers in the conference championship and their efforts helped Saint Joseph's place as the runner-up in the event.

Saint Joseph's College will race in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) DIII New England Championship in Bristol, Rhode Island this Saturday.
