Women Finish 6th & Men Finish 10th at Maine States

NEW GLOUCESTER, Maine - The Saint Joseph's College men's and women's cross country teams placed 10th and sixth, respectively, at the Maine State Championships at Pineland Farms on Saturday. The women posted 189 points in the 5K race while the men notched 264 points in the 8K event.

THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:

  • Junior Kelsey Kennedy (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) placed 68th with a 22:27.6 time
  • Senior Emma Allen (Jefferson, Maine) was 69th with a 22:31.9 effort
  • Senior Julia Heroux (Albion, R.I.) finished 73rd (22:39.6)
  • Senior Samantha VanDeMoere placed 78th (23:04.1)
  • Senior Carly Jordan (Turner, Maine) was 83rd (23:19.6)
  • Junior Caitlin Kendrick (Richmond, Maine) posted a 94th-place finish (24:20.3)
  • Freshman Terry Casetta (Sandy Hook, Conn.) finished 106th (26:38.4)

THE RUNDOWN – MEN:

  • Senior Troy Hendricks (Hiram, Maine) paced the Monks with a 28:16.5 time and finished 48th overall
  • Senior Jacob Huberdeau (Atkinson, N.H.) placed 53rd (28:34.0)
  • Sophomore Nick Carmosino (Acton, Mass.) was 105th (32:23.0)
  • Freshman Ethan Shaw (Scarborough, Maine) finished 109th (33:19.9)
  • Senior Cameron Rice (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) placed 123rd (38:05.1)
