    NEWTON, MA – Top-seeded Mount Ida College (10-7, 7-0 GNAC) defeated #4 Saint Joseph’s (10-8, 4-3 GNAC), 13-0, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Semifinal contest on Thursday afternoon. With the setback, the Monks’ 2011 campaign comes to a close.

    PORTLAND, ME – Fourth-seeded Saint Joseph’s (10-7, 4-3 GNAC) defeated #5 Becker College (7-11, 3-4 GNAC), 10-9, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men’s lacrosse quarterfinal contest at Deering Memorial Stadium on Tuesday evening. The conference tournament victory is the first-ever for the fourth-year program.

Spencer Hunt ’13 (Jeffersonville, VT) recorded two goals and an assist in the losing effort.

Jonathan Horgan ’12 (Hingham, MA) Spencer Hunt ’13 (Jeffersonville, VT) tallied two goals and two assists apiece in the Monks’ triumph.

    LEICESTER, MA – Saint Joseph’s College defeated Becker College 11-10 today in Great Northeast Atlantic Conference men’s lacrosse action at Alumni Field this afternoon. Becker’s record drops to 6-9 (2-3 GNAC) and St. Joe’s improves to 8-6 (3-2 GNAC) with the result.

Benson Pasquarello ’12 (Kennebunk, ME) registered three goals and four assists in the triumph.

    NASHUA, NH – The Saint Joseph’s College men’s lacrosse team (6-6, 1-2 GNAC) notched the first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) win in program history with a 25-2 victory over Rivier College (0-5, 0-3 GNAC) on Saturday afternoon. Fourteen different SJC players scored in the lopsided triumph.

Jonathan Horgan ’12 (Hingham, MA) paced the Monks with two goals in the game, which was the first-ever GNAC contest for both programs.
