Monks Fifth After Day One of GNAC ChampionshipOctober 24, 2008CRANSTON, RI The Saint Joseph's College golf team sits in fifth place with 335 team strokes after the opening round of the 2008 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship, hosted at the Cranston Country Club. Andy LeConte '09 (York, ME) shot a 76 for the day and is tied for second with Zach Bennardo '09 (Norwich, CT) and two strokes behind leader Robert Newcomb '09 (Quincy, MA), both of Johnson & Wales University.

Monks Place 41st in NEIGA ChampionshipOctober 21, 2008BREWSTER, MA - St. Joe's placed 41st with 709 strokes in the two-day NEIGA Championships. Matt Cotreau '10 (Lunenberg, MA) posted the low score for the Monks with 163 strokes and Andy LeConte '09 (York, ME) salvaged a respectable 171 score after shooting a 78 in the final round.
