    NEWTON, MA – Saint Joseph’s (27-5, 20-0 GNAC) swept Lasell College (16-18-1, 12-8 GNAC) in convincing fashion on Wednesday with 10-6 and 12-2 victories to extend the Monks’ winning streak to 23 games. Emily Leverone ’12 (Hampton, NY) belted three home runs and went 6-8 with five runs and eight RBI in the two-game sweep.

    STANDISH, ME – Senior shortstop Liddy van der Linden (Worcester, MA) hit a two-run home run with two out in the bottom of the sixth of the nightcap contest to help Saint Joseph’s (23-5, 16-0 GNAC) sweep a conference doubleheader against Saint Joseph (Conn.). The Monks won the opener, 8-3, and the 3-1 win in the closing contest extended the team’s winning streak to 19 games, which is a new program record.

The pair of victories pushes the Monks’ winning streak to 17 games.
